What should you
buy first?

Searches for “best X100VI accessories” can turn into a long shopping list. Start with the problem you want to solve, then compare the relevant options.

For everyday street photography

Start with a comfortable strap and a power plan. Add a thumb or base grip only if the camera needs a more secure hold.

For a protected travel kit

Compare a fitted case, screen protection and the official adapter-and-filter arrangement. Check clearance before combining accessories.

For a different photographic look

Try a polariser, subtle diffusion, a conversion lens or a flash when it serves a specific photograph. You do not need every option.

Filters & lens accessories

01Filters & lens accessories
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONX100VI + X100V

Fujifilm AR-X100 adapter ring

The starting point for ordinary screw-in filters. It creates the correct mounting arrangement for a 49mm filter on the X100-series lens.

Before you buy
Fit the adapter before a conventional filter. Check whether your chosen hood already includes a suitable ring so you do not buy it twice.

Fujifilm PRF-49 protection filter

An official protection-filter option to pair with the AR-X100. Consider this combination if you want Fujifilm’s documented route to weather resistance.

NiSi NC UV Filter II for X100 series

An integrated X100-series protection-filter option. Compare it with a separate adapter-and-filter setup when keeping the lens assembly compact is a priority.

Before you buy

K&F Concept Nano-X 49mm Black Diffusion 1/8

A creative filter for a softer highlight treatment. Consider it for night streets, portraits or scenes where a subtle diffusion effect suits your photographs.

04 / BUY A COHERENT KIT

Three ways
to build around it.

These are alternative starting points. Check the fit of the whole assembly before combining individual accessories.

The everyday street kit

Camera, a Leash or Cuff, one spare NP-W126S and a suitable SD card. Add a grip after you have decided what your hand actually needs.

Compare carrying options ↑

The travel kit

A case or compact sling, spare power and the lens protection setup you need. Leave room for the camera with its fitted hood or adapter.

Explore the small-bag option ↑

The creative kit

Start with one change: a polariser, diffusion, a conversion lens or flash. Learn what it adds before buying the next accessory.

Compare creative filters ↑
SAVE THE BUDGET FOR WHAT MATTERS

You already have
a capable camera.

Both cameras include a built-in four-stop ND filter. Try the equipment you own before adding another layer of glass or another way to carry it.

  • Avoid duplicate mounting parts. A hood kit may already include an adapter ring.
  • Choose between alternatives. A case, grip and clip can compete for the same space.
  • Buy the correct system version. Flash letters, filter diameters and case model names matter.
  • Check the actual offer. Condition, seller, returns, contents and regional warranty are part of the decision.
05 / BUYING QUESTIONS ANSWERED

X100 accessory
FAQs.

What are the most useful accessories for a Fujifilm X100VI or X100V?

Start with a comfortable strap, enough battery power and a suitable SD card. Add a grip if handling is the problem, or an adapter and filter if you need that lens setup. Conversion lenses and external flashes are specialist additions, not a starter shopping list.

Do Fujifilm X100V accessories fit the X100VI?

Many shared lens accessories and NP-W126S power accessories are listed for both models. Fitted cases and plates need explicit support for your camera. The Fujifilm LC-X100V case is listed for both; the SmallRig X100VI cases here are labelled X100VI only.

What filter size do the X100VI and X100V use?

Ordinary 49mm screw-in filters need the AR-X100 or a correctly designed equivalent adapter. Do not screw a conventional filter straight onto the lens without the required clearance. Some dedicated integrated filter systems use a different mounting arrangement: follow their instructions.

Which accessories complete the weather-resistant setup?

Fujifilm documents the AR-X100 adapter ring and PRF-49 protection filter combination for these cameras. A hood alone does not complete that arrangement. Weather resistance is not waterproofing; follow the care limits in the camera manual.

Do I need a variable ND filter for the X100VI or X100V?

Both cameras already have a built-in four-stop ND filter. Try that first. An additional filter only makes sense if your exposure requirements go beyond the built-in option; it is not automatically an essential purchase.

Which battery should I buy for the Fujifilm X100VI or X100V?

Both use the NP-W126S. The genuine Fujifilm battery and BC-W126S charger are included here. Check the seller and exact model; do not buy a different battery format because a listing mentions Fujifilm.

Can I fit a thumb grip and use an external flash?

A hot-shoe thumb grip occupies the same mounting point used by a flash. Plan around that conflict. A base grip may suit a flash-heavy setup better, subject to the exact fitted accessories.

Does the TG-BT1 work with the X100V?

The checked Fujifilm TG-BT1 compatibility chart lists X100VI and does not list X100V. This guide recommends the wireless grip functions for X100VI only. The RR-100 is the wired-release option listed for both.

What SD card should I buy for the X100VI or X100V?

Choose a supported full-size SD card and match the write-speed class to the camera’s recording mode. U3 or V30 is a useful starting check for video, then verify the current official card list. A high advertised read speed does not describe sustained write performance.

Are these hands-on reviews or ranked test winners?

This is a researched accessory buying guide. Recommendations reflect intended use, manufacturer compatibility information and practical buying checks. We do not claim hands-on testing, measured results or a universal best accessory.

Why do some buttons open Amazon search results?

The button lets you compare offers for the named accessory. The photograph represents a matching brand and model listing. The photograph opens that pictured listing; the orange button searches for the named product. Check the selected model, size, seller and contents before buying.

How this guide is put together. The shortlist uses official Fujifilm compatibility information and manufacturer product descriptions, linked beside each accessory. Universal carrying, cleaning and support items still need checks against the assembled kit. Third-party electronic accessories need model and firmware confirmation. Product choices and use-case advice are editorial, with no claim of hands-on testing. Original technical diagrams represent accessory categories, not exact product geometry or manufacturer photographs. Amazon listings and product photographs are supplied by the Amazon connection. Local availability may differ.
