The best PowerShot V1 accessories solve a problem you actually have. Buy power and recording media first; add equipment when the footage calls for it.

Check your camera bundle, charging setup and SD card. A spare battery is useful; duplicate kit accessories are not.

Batteries & charging

01Batteries & charging
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Canon LP-E17 battery

The straightforward spare for a longer filming day. Keep one charged in your bag rather than building a large rig just to extend short outings.

Before you buy
Choose genuine Canon LP-E17 and a reputable seller. Check whether your camera bundle already includes a second battery.

02Batteries & charging
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Canon LC-E17E battery charger

Charge a spare outside the camera while you keep shooting. Useful for a two-battery routine and longer trips.

Before you buy
Check the mains lead or plug for your country. Canon lists the LC-E17 family; LC-E17E is a regional version, not a different battery format.

03Batteries & charging
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Canon PD-E2 USB power adapter

Canon’s documented USB power option for charging and supported powering. A useful choice for a desk or longer stationary sessions.

Before you buy
Follow the camera’s charging and powering instructions and keep the required battery fitted. Do not assume every USB-C charger behaves the same way.

Memory cards & readers

04Memory cards & readers
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Lexar Professional 1800x GOLD 128GB SDXC V60

A full-size UHS-II card option for a video-focused kit. V60 gives headroom for the V1 modes whose official table specifies that class.

Before you buy
Choose GOLD 1800x, 128GB, SDXC and V60. Check Canon’s table against resolution, frame rate, compression and bit depth; read speed is not sustained write speed.

SanDisk Extreme PRO 128GB SDXC UHS-II V60

An alternative full-size V60 card for recording and transferring footage. Compare capacity and the exact card family rather than buying on the brand name alone.

Before you buy
Select UHS-II V60, not the similarly named UHS-I V30 card or a microSD bundle. Verify the required class for your recording mode.

Lexar Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader

Move footage from a full-size SD card to a compatible USB-C computer. A useful desk accessory if importing is slowing down your editing routine.

Before you buy
Choose the UHS-II SD/microSD Dual-Slot Reader. Its microSD slot is for other devices; the V1 itself takes full-size SD media.

Canon DM-E100 stereo microphone

An official compact microphone option for recording sound from the camera position. A straightforward place to start if you prefer a wired camera mic.

Canon DM-E1D directional stereo microphone

A digital microphone option that uses the V1’s Multi-function Shoe. Consider it if you want camera-top audio without a separate analogue audio lead.

Before you buy
Confirm DM-E1D, not DM-E1. The shoe is occupied while fitted; choose another mounting arrangement for any light.

TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATION3.5mm camera connection

RØDE Wireless ME microphone system

A clip-on wireless option when the speaker moves away from the camera. Particularly relevant to walk-and-talk clips and presenting rather than general room ambience.

Before you buy
Buy a kit containing both transmitter and camera receiver. Use the 3.5mm TRS camera connection, set levels and monitor a test recording. A transmitter alone is not a complete setup.

DJI Mic Mini camera kit

A small wireless microphone alternative for a solo presenter or two-person setup. Choose the number of transmitters around the people you actually record.

Before you buy
Select a kit with a camera receiver and 3.5mm TRS camera cable. A phone-only receiver or stand-alone transmitter is not this camera setup. This card refers to the original Mic Mini.

TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Canon HG-100TBR tripod grip

A handgrip that opens into a small tripod, with a detachable BR-E1 remote. Useful for moving between self-filming and a tabletop shot.

Canon lists V1 compatibility. The BR-E1 is already included in this grip package, so do not buy the remote twice. Stay within the stated total payload.

TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONPowerShot V1

Canon BR-E1 wireless remote

Start a shot from in front of the camera without reaching for the body. Makes sense if you already own a tripod or grip.

A simple tabletop support for pieces to camera, self-timer photographs and static cutaways. Choose it when you want support without wireless controls.

Peak Design Leash camera strap

A compact adjustable shoulder or cross-body carrying option for walks and travel. Useful when the camera needs to stay accessible between clips.

Lighting & flash

19Lighting & flash
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONIndependent light · mounting required

Aputure MC RGBWW mini light

A small continuous light for a nearby face, product cutaway or a touch of background colour. Most useful close to the subject.

20Lighting & flash
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONOff-camera light · stand required

SmallRig RC 60B video light

A more substantial off-camera lighting option for a desk or interview setup. Consider it when the space and subject need more light than a pocket panel can provide.

Before you buy
Allow for a separate stand, appropriate modifier and power plan. Check kit contents; do not mount this light on the V1’s shoe.

21Lighting & flash
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONOfficial V1 flash support

Canon Speedlite EL-10 flash

An official V1-compatible flash for still photographs. Relevant to bounce lighting and portraits rather than continuous illumination for video.

Before you buy

Canon AD-E1 Multi-function Shoe Adapter

An adapter to investigate if you already own a compatible conventional Canon Speedlite. Buy to solve a specific shoe-connection requirement.

04 / THREE WAYS TO BUILD A V1 KIT

Pack for what
you make.

These are starting points, not bundles you need to buy in full. Check your existing equipment before adding anything.

The light travel kit

V1, a suitable SD card, a charged spare LP-E17 and a comfortable carrying option. Use the supplied windscreen when it suits the shot.

Start with spare power ↑

The solo-presenter kit

V1, one wireless camera mic kit and a grip or tripod. Keep the speaker close to the transmitter and check recorded audio before the take.

Compare wireless audio ↑

The desk-video kit

V1, a stable support, a suitable microphone and a separate light placed for your face. Plan power for longer sessions and keep the cooling vents open.

Compare off-camera lighting ↑
BETTER INFORMED CHOICES

Keep the camera.
Lose the excess.

A more useful setup starts with the next video you want to make. Add one solution, learn what it changes, then decide what comes next.

  • Check what is in the box. A Vlogger Kit can already include the grip, remote and recording media.
  • Choose a microphone route. A camera-top mic and a wireless presenter kit solve different problems.
  • Keep mounting space in mind. The shoe, screen and cooling vents all need room.
  • Read the actual offer. Model, seller, condition, returns and regional warranty matter more than the thumbnail.
05 / CANON V1 ACCESSORY QUESTIONS

Know before
you buy.

What accessories should I buy first for the Canon PowerShot V1?

Check the camera package first. Start with a supported full-size SD card, suitable charging equipment and enough battery capacity for your day. Then choose a microphone or grip around the way you record. A cage and light are optional additions.

Which battery does the Canon V1 use?

The PowerShot V1 uses Canon LP-E17. A genuine spare is the simplest power upgrade. Check the exact battery model and seller; another Canon battery format is not a substitute.

Which memory card is best for Canon V1 4K video?

Match the card to the exact recording mode. The V1 supports full-size SD media including UHS-II. Canon specifies V60 for certain 4K 50/60p 10-bit IPB Standard combinations; other modes have lower requirements. The V60 options here are a practical comparison point, not a claim that every V1 recording requires V60.

Can I use a wireless microphone with the V1?

Yes, with a suitable camera receiver and the camera connection. The Wireless ME and original DJI Mic Mini camera setups here use 3.5mm TRS audio into the V1. Do not buy only a transmitter or assume a USB-C phone receiver works directly. Set levels and check a recording before filming.

Does the Canon V1 need an external ND filter?

Try the camera’s built-in ND filter first. An extra ND filter is not an automatic essential. This guide does not assume a screw-in filter size or recommend an unverified lens adapter.

Does the V1 work with the Canon HG-100TBR grip?

Canon lists the PowerShot V1 as compatible. The HG-100TBR package includes a BR-E1 remote, so check kit contents before ordering a separate one. Follow the payload and camera setup instructions.

Which flash works with the Canon PowerShot V1?

Canon lists the Speedlite EL-10 for the V1. The camera has a Multi-function Shoe without conventional flash contacts. For an older flash, verify the complete flash/AD-E1 combination. A flash is for stills; choose a continuous light for video.

Do I need a cage for the V1?

Only if you need extra mounting points or prefer the handling. The dedicated SmallRig cage and L-shaped plate are alternatives. Check the full assembly for screen, battery-door, port and cooling clearance.

Can I change lenses on the PowerShot V1?

No. It has a built-in zoom lens rather than an interchangeable RF or EF mount. Spend on useful audio, support, power or media rather than an EOS lens that cannot attach.

Why do some buttons open Amazon search?

The orange buttons search for the named model so you can compare offers. Where a verified photograph is shown, clicking the photograph opens that pictured listing. Always check the selected variant, package and local availability; the illustration is not a manufacturer product photograph.

How this guide is researched. Product selection uses Canon’s V1 manual, published compatibility lists and the linked manufacturer descriptions. Universal supports and carrying accessories require checks against the assembled kit. Advice is editorial; no hands-on testing, measured ranking or guaranteed availability is claimed. Clearly labelled technical illustrations represent accessory categories, not exact product geometry. Matching product photographs and listing details come from the Amazon connection and can change. Amazon OneLink may redirect supported links according to your location and matching availability.
